New Board Officers At Protection and Advocacy

Ken Johnson of Hobbs is the newly elected President of the Board of Directors of Protection and Advocacy System. Johnson, who retired earlier this year after a career as an elementary school teacher in the Hobbs Public Schools, is a long time Board member.

Michael Rourke of Las Cruces, a behavior therapist from Las Cruces, is the Board's new Vice-President. John Foley of Albuquerque, former Director of The Arc of New Mexico, continues as the Board's Secretary-Treasurer. Sherry Watson, Director of the San Juan Center for Independent Living in Farmington, is past President and continues to serve on the Board. Ed Misquez of Las Cruces left the Board on October 1 after more than 5 years of valuable service.
