Mary Beresford, Ph.D., has been appointed by Governor Bill Richardson as the new Director of the Governor's Committee on Concerns of the Handicapped. Beresford, of Albuquerque, has been a long time advocate and educator regarding disability rights and cultural attitudes about people with disabilities. She replaces Judy Myers, who had been the GCCH Director for over 20 years. We wish Mary continued success in her new job.
