Are you a person with a disability who receives Social Security (SSI or SSDI) and wants to return to work? New programs and services are available to help you. Existing federal and state laws prohibit discrimination against persons with disabilities.

The PABSS program at Protection & Advocacy may be able to help you. Our services are available throughout New Mexico and include assistance with:

• Problems with agencies which provide training and employment such as the New Mexico Division of Vocational Rehabilitation or the New Mexico Commission for the Blind.
• Problems with agencies which provide benefits advice such as Project Win.
• Rights violations that limit employment opportunities such as discrimination by employers, lack of reasonable accommodations, and other such rights violations.
• Transportation problems related to vocational training and employment.
• Information and referral.
• Systemic problems in delivery of services.

Please note: PABSS cannot assist persons who are applying for Social Security benefits or who have disputes against the Social Security Administration.
