4 New Staff on Board
We welcome four new staff members to our New
Mexico P & A.
Roberto Anchondo, an advocate for the Ombudsman Project and the Advocacy
Services Unit, has been a seasoned member of the disability community for
many years. A home grown El Paso/Albuquerque Advocate, Roberto has worked
extensively with the Independent Living Letters, and Traumatic Brain Injury
advocates groups.
Maryls Palacioz is an attorney who is volunteering her time to our P &
A clients and staff. She held a private practice in Kansas before relocating
to New Mexico.Marlys has fit right in with priority setting with a wealth
of knowledge about the Vocational Rehabilitation system and technicalities
of the law.
Sandra Gomez is our staff attorney consulting with the Information and Training
Unit and specializing in Advance Directives, Mental Health and special Education.
Sandra is the mother of 3, native to Albuquerque, and she says she "loves
her job".
Sylvia Sweeney, our new receptionist, says she is a person who has high
expectations of herself. She loves people and animals. She especially enjoys
her job assisting people with disability issues. We are thrilled to have
such a warm and competent receptionist!
