K.Q. was about to graduate from college. He wanted to go to graduate school to enhance his skills in MultiMedia and Graphic Design. K.Q. applied for Division of Vocational Rehabilitation (DVR) services and asked DVR to purchase a computer and software that he would need in graduate school. DVR was very slow in making an eligibility determination. They initially denied K.Q. a computer and software. However, with strong advocacy from P&A and K.Q.'s resourceful family, DVR later agreed to purchase the computer and software. K.Q. is now in graduate school pursuing the degree that will gain him entry into his chosen career.
