Reasonable Accommodations

A.L. is a person with a mental illness who came to Protection and Advocacy (P&A) asking for assistance to obtain a reasonable accommodation from her employer. A.L.'s disability had worsened suddenly, so she needed an adapted work schedule. After we met with the employer to discuss the client’s request, the employer decided within a week or two that they would grant the client’s request. The result is that the client has been able to continue working.
