Members of the New Mexico Statewide Independent Living Council (SILC) participated in the SILC Congress January 11-15, 2004, in Phoenix Arizona. The SILC Congress is the annual meeting of SILC delegation from the 50 states and District of Columbia.

The New Mexico delegation was lead by Vince Montano, NM SILC Chair and included: Larry Auer, Los Alamos; Andrew Conticelli, Albuquerque; Ron Garcia, Santa Fe; Elizabeth Hutchison, Las Cruces; and Gil Yildez, Albuquerque. Chris Isengard, SILC staff also attended. Julie Ballinger also participated in the Congress as a facilitator. The New Mexico delegation was the largest at this year's SILC Congress.
